Our Story

The Kagati Foundation was established in 2018 by a group of passionate Nepali developers who recognized the need for a collaborative open source community in Nepal. What began as informal meetups in Kathmandu has grown into a nationwide network of developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts.

Our name "Kagati" (meaning "paper" in Nepali) symbolizes our commitment to documentation and knowledge sharing - the foundation of any successful open source project.

Over the years, we've organized numerous hackathons, workshops, and training sessions to promote open source development and contribute to global projects while addressing local challenges.
